    1. Jesus begins His preaching and teaching ministry (Mk. 1:14-15; Matt. 4:17; Lk. 4:14-15)
    2. Healing of son of nobleman at Cana (John 4:46-54)
    3. Rejected at Nazareth and moved to Capernaum (Lk. 4:16-31; Matt. 4:13-16)
    a. Setting in the Synagogue—reading from Isaiah 58:6; 61:1-2)
    b. Immediate approval by audience—later severe disapproval
